Hi Everyone,
Thankyou to all of you who made it out to the shows on the East Coast Tour. We had a really great time soaking up the good vibes and sunshine over the three weeks that took us from melbourne to Brissy and back.
I think its safe to say that the highlight of the trip was the two shows back to back supporting Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows at Lizottes in Newcastle. The shows were great, audience response overwhelming and the food...well, dont get me started... lets just say the word divine comes to mind!
So, what now you ask... well, after what has essentially been a 4 month tour that has taken me from Vic, W.A, Tassie, S.A then to Germany, UK, back to Oz, the ACT, NSW and QLD... I now find myself back in Vic and am taking a few well deserved weeks off from touring.
But dont fret, I will still be playing shows. Infact the festival season is gearing up and this weekend the Jaimi Faulkner Band will be playing at the Glen Waverley Food & Wine Festival with Lloyd Spiegel and funnily enough The Black Sorrows.
Ill also be doing a bunch of little solo gigs on the outskirts of Melbourne so check gig guide for details...
In other news:
On Tuesday 10th of November, Gary Jones (President of the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society) awarded me the MBAS, Song of the year for my song Highway Life.
I'd like to thank the MBAS for their ongoing support of my music and their dedication to the fine music of Blues of Roots in Victoria.
Until next time, Stay cool in oz, warm in Europe and keep supporting original music!
Cheers
Jaimi
