Back Road Acoustic Tour

To kick start the 2018, I'll be heading out on tour this February and March in Germany and the Netherlands. The tour will start with three support shows for Germany's Gil Ofarim and will be a completely acoustic solo affair.

I'm looking forward to showcasing the tracks from my latest album 'Back Road' in their raw, stripped back, acoustic forms, together with stories and perhaps a few brand new songs thrown in for good measure!

See you on the Road.

x Jaimi

Feature in Guitar Acoustic Magazine

2018 is kicking off with a bang. I am featured in the first edition of Guitar Acoustic Magazine.

I sat down with Natalie Meyer to discuss how I write my tunes, riffs, and how I get the inspiration for each song.

If you haven't read the interview yet, check it out below. There's also some guitar tabs for your guitar enthusiasts.

December UK TOUR

I'm very pleased to announce that this December 2017 I will be heading to the U.K for the first time to play a small solo tour.

It's the first time that I will tour the UK and I'll be joining some friends on the road. As well as some of my own headline shows, I'll be joining fellow Australian Singer-Songwriter Derrin Nauendorf on the 1st Dec at the Slaughtered Lamb Pub in London aswell as the 9th Dec at the Spring and Arts Heritage Centre in Havant.

I'm also looking forward to opening two shows for Los Pacaminos (featuring Paul Young) on the 2nd Dec at The Studio in Wdnes as well as the 3rd Dec at the David Lloyd Club in Bolton. I had the honour of opening a tour for Paul Young in Central Europe a few years back, so it will be nice to catch up with him again.

If you live in UK, Id love to see you at a show.

Back Road Tour End - Farewell to Band

End of an era. It's been a wonderful journey playing with these guys and girls and on Sunday night we played our last show of the 'Back Road' Album Release tour together in Tilburg NL.

Together we've played hundreds of shows and made two great albums, but after four years we all feel it's time to explore different musical paths and have decided take an indefinite break.

On January 6 2018 we will get together one last time in Essen Germany for a farewell concert.
Thanks to everyone that supported us over the years as a band. It means a lot.

Live on Radio Bremen Zwei

Tonight the band and I will head to my old home town of Bremen to perform a Radio session on Radio Bremen Zwei. Tune in to the radio show 'Sounds' at 8pm to hear us chat about all things music and of course to hear us play some live tracks from our latest release 'Back Road.'

Today my new music video ALL MY HOPE IS GONE is released on Youtube!

Shot over 6 hours in a video studio in Oberhausen Germany, the production and camera work was done by my good friend Alexander Schroer and his brother Patrick and was a lot of fun to shoot.

Luuk Adams joined me on Drums to provide the back beat for the shoot and the end result is fun and cool. The song of course is featured on my most recent album BACK ROAD. I hope you like it!

Spotify Playlist - Wood, Steel & Skin

Hey Folks, well the digital age is here (lets face it, its been here for a long time) and I've decided that I'd like to embrace the Spotify platform. Of course I've had Spotify artist channel for a while where you can find all of my back catalogue Nevertheless, aside from my music, I've taken the liberty of creating a playlist called WOOD, STEEL & SKIN.

Wood, Steel & Skin features tracks from some of my favourite artists that I'm either currently listening to, or that have inspired me over the years. As the name suggests, it is a primarily acoustic music playlist that focuses on good songwriting with acoustic instruments - you wont hear any pop or hard rock music here!

If you are interested in checking out some of these tracks, then simply FOLLOW my playlist! I'll be updating the playlist every Monday, so make sure you check back in weekly to hear whats new on the playlist.

This weeks playlist features songs from Bob Dylan to Thomas Dybdahl from The Tallest Man on Earth to my buddy Mia Dyson and much much more! I've kept the playlist to just over an hour so its perfect to listen to on your way to and from work, on your lunch break or on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

House Concerts

There's something really organic and natural about performing in someones home. It just feels right!

Long before we had to trudge through the waters of promoters, agents, managers and clubs, musicians would simply sit around and play their songs and tell stories wherever people would listen; under a starlit sky, next to a raging fire or in someones home.

This year I've had the pleasure of playing quite a few house concerts all over the world. I've played house concerts in Western Australia, in the Netherlands, Belgium and in Germany. I've played on people balconies, peoples kitchens and in their lounge-rooms. I've played house concerts to as little as 15 people and I've played house concerts to as many as 80. One thing is for sure, I always leave a house concert feeling fulfilled and with a sense that I've just been apart of something very special.

A house concert is a wonderfully informal way to bring people together. Everyone arrives with the initial intention of hearing an artist perform and tell their stories. But a house concert seems to always evolve and become more than that.

It's almost always an opportunity for people from different walks of life, different age groups, ethnicities to get together, to mingle and tell their own stories, to feel that collectively they have witnessed something special, something secret, that only they are privy to.

People may arrive thinking they are simply going to hear an artist play some music, however by the end of the evening people leave feeling part of a community, with new stories to tell, new friendships forged and almost always with big smiles on their faces as they drift off to their respective homes.

If you'd like to host a house concert with me or one of your favourite artists, don't hesitate to get in touch with us... chances are, we'll jump at the chance.
